Prospective clients
How to get started
A clear path for caregivers: inquiry, insurance, assessment, and ongoing services.
Your family’s journey
What happens after you reach out
-
Start with an inquiry
Complete our short prospective client form so we know how to reach you and what your family is looking for.
You leave with: A submitted request and a clear next contact from our intake team.
-
Intake review & timeline
Our intake coordinator reviews your information, answers questions, and shares an estimated timeline.
You leave with: Clarity on next steps and what documents we’ll need.
-
Insurance authorization
We work with your payor so the initial assessment can be scheduled — typically about four weeks after authorization.
You leave with: A scheduled assessment window once coverage is confirmed.
-
Meet your BCBA
Families meet with a BCBA for at least two sessions covering our approach, your concerns, and clinical assessments.
You leave with: A shared understanding of needs, goals, and how ABA can help.
-
Treatment plan & ongoing care
Your BCBA develops a treatment plan, reviews it with your family, and submits it to the payor (often 1–2 additional weeks).
You leave with: An approved plan and a path into regular services.
Documents commonly needed: primary insurance cards, CDE (confirm full document checklist)

Telehealth
Flexible access when you need it
Telehealth services allow us to expand access to high-quality ABA care while ensuring families receive support as quickly and efficiently as possible. This flexibility helps reduce barriers to care and enables us to serve families throughout Ventura County, including those in more rural or less populated communities where in-person services may be limited.
Scheduling
Availability & block scheduling
At Addison Behavioral Resources, we provide services seven days per week to help meet the needs and schedules of the families we serve. Our scheduling team works closely to identify behavior technicians whose availability aligns with your family’s schedule.
To support this matching process, we ask families to provide a minimum of 15 hours of weekly availability. This does not mean that 15 hours of services will necessarily be clinically recommended or required, but rather that this range of availability helps us identify the most appropriate scheduling options.
We use a block scheduling model (for example Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday), with service blocks such as 8:00–12:00, 12:00–3:00, 3:00–5:30, and 5:30–8:00 PM.
