What ABA is — and how we practice it

Evidence-based, data-driven, and individualized support for autism, developmental disabilities, and related needs.

What is ABA

Applied Behavior Analysis

According to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a systematic approach for influencing socially important behavior through the identification of reliably related environmental variables and the production of behavior-change techniques that make use of those findings.

ABA is applied, behavioral, analytic, technological, conceptually systematic, effective, and designed for generality — so meaningful change lasts across time, people, and settings.

Our approach

Individualized, compassionate, coordinated

At Addison Behavioral Resources, we provide individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, Developmental Disabilities, and Speech and Language Delays or Disabilities. We believe everyone is unique, which is why our treatment plans are tailored to each individual's strengths, needs, and goals, with a focus on delivering high-quality, meaningful outcomes.

Our team utilizes evidence-based, data-driven practices to support skill development and behavior change while maintaining a compassionate, assent-based approach that respects each individual's preferences, dignity, and individuality. We work collaboratively with families, schools, medical professionals, and other service providers to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive support system for every individual we support.

We support a wide range of developmental and behavioral needs, including communication, social skills, daily living skills, school readiness, community participation, safety awareness, and behavior reduction. Through evidence-based, personalized treatment, we help individuals develop the skills they need to thrive at home, in school, and within their community.
